Yeah, I am wondering what type of suspension lift on my jeep
to hep get to all those hard to reach places but I dont want
to go broke doing it any sugestions?
Be very, very careful with "affordable" lift! I put a 3”
lift kit on my 2003 Jeep Rubicon and used a Economy Lift Kit
by Desert Rat in Phoenix AZ. I have spent a ton of money
and an unbelievable amount of time straightening out the
mess. My jeep went from a very capable stock rig to one
that squeaked, rattled, groaned, and had death wobble at any
speed from 45 to 65. Slowly but surely I am getting it all
fixed, but it has been a real wake up call for me. I will
NEVER have an economy lift kit on a jeep again.
To save 500 – 700 dollars I had an economy lift kit
installed. So far I have spent over $500 in just parts and
over 100 hours trying to get it all working. Never
again! Mel
I prchased a ProComp 2" spring lift for my TJ ($269 on
sale). Install was pretty simple and the only items I added
were cam bolts for the rear upper control arm (shaft
alignment), and extended swaybar links. It rides well, gave
me a little extra ground clearance, and most of all NO
PROBLEMS!!!! Be careful with the real cheap kits, you may
buy nothing more than a headache. Also, make sure you get an
alignment ASAP after you install the lift kit. You will
change your alignment when you add the lift.Grape for President!!!!
