My name is JT. I am a full time photojournalist for the
Morning News, a 40,000 circulation daily in Northwest
Arkansas. I shoot NCAA sports including football,
basketball, track, baseball etc. I also shoot news,
features, portraits, whatever.
I consider myself more of a journalist than a photographer.
My job is to convey information over making a pretty
picture. Sometimes the two coincide and that's sweet. Plus I
get to go places most people don't have the opportunity to
see first hand.

I enjoy B&W as well. When my newspaper converted the old
darkrooms into office space I was able to take my pick of
the old equipment. I now have a complete darkroom in my
spare bedroom.
Do you shoot B&W film or convert digital?
If I'm using the 35mm, I use B&W film. If I am running

Just checking in. Nikon D70. I do graphic design/ retouching
and mainly use my camera for work. I also like to just
experiment and shoot off beat subjects.I just realized, your paradise is not for me.

Im currently rocking a D40 right now, looking forward to
getting my D80 soon , i still have an
old SLR floating around my computer/camera room some place..
I shoot with Canon gear, 40D and a 5D MKII. The 5D is
really great but raw files are huge (21-29 MB ea). My
latest lens I'm playing with now is 15mm fisheye f/2.8 by
Canon.
