I am looking to restore my 1975 jeep renegade. Where is the best place to find parts. How do I find information to my jeep specifically. I know it was dark gray and I think the renegade stripe use to be blue and orange. thanks all

Well, it depends... there are usually three different focus areas.

1. I got parts from old CJs either from the salvage yard or online at eBay or Craigslist. You can clean them up and reuse a lot of the hard parts and panels.

2. For New Old Stock (NOS) parts Collins Brothers have them.

3. For everything else (bearings, clutch, replacement or accessory) check 4WD Hardware and Quadratec.

You may be able to get a Factory Service Manual (FSM) for your Jeep... haven't looked.

4WDH sells Temkin bearings which are very good bearings. So I would check there for bearings if you can't find any at a local parts store that aren't made in China. Look on local Jeep forums as well as the paper for a donor vehicle.

I restored my 77 Cj-5. I'm now part owner in 4 wheel drive and Quadratec, Ha! Ha! Also don't be afraid to use advance auto and autozone and the likes for basic parts. They have more than you think! Boneyards are also a good source but i wanted all new parts for fuel, fire and air. (Key ingrediants to make heap start and run well). I had never done body work but now feel more comfortable with Bondo and the likes. Good Luck!
