I have a small problem with my 93 YJ and i dont know if its just me or if something is wrong.

Almost every time i try to engage my jeep in reverse the gears always want to grind. sometimes more then others. It happens pretty much under every condition, engine at idle and slightly more then idle, stopped or rolling a little backward. and everytime i make sure i fully depress the clutch to insure thats not the problem.

Also it is really hard to get it into reverse sometimes. I have to give

Yea, the same happens to me. They're pretty notorious for that, but nothing to worry about. All you have to do is go through your gears while holding down the clutch before you put it in reverse. Works for me

Hey guys. Try putting it in second gear first, and then going to reverse.

Be well,

Put it in first. then back to second.. then directly and kinda quickly over to reverse. both my yjs did/do the same thing bro.. thats the only way I EVER go into reverse now and it works 100% better. good luck.
