thinking about getting lockers for a little extra help off road. my question is which axle should i lock first? or should i even get lockers? i have a 99 sahara im pretty sure it has the D30/D35 combo. Also ive heard that the D35's break when locked this is my daily driver so i dont need that.. let me know what you think please..

I'm in the process of replacing my 3.07 and open case with 4.56 and a detroit trutrac locker right now. Everyone that I have talked too has recomended going with the locker. I can let you know later how it went if you would like.

yeah that would be awesome and total cost too if you dont mind but i was thinking about leaving it open and running 35's bc my brother has an old k10 with 3.08 gears and runs 35's with no problems.

Just a quick note, I'm running 35's with my stock 98TJ sport setup. I don't have the power I used to with 32's, but they run pretty well. I've still got 3.07's, going to upgrade though when I win the lottery...lol

OK I switched from the 3.07 to 4.56 and the locker and it runs awesome. I have 33 X 12.50 and before had no highway speed, but now it runs like a bat out of hell. It is great. Totals cost parts and labor was about 1200 an axel. Well worth it though. Good luck to ya. Got all my parts from Quadratec.

I have a 98 TJ and run 35s with open 3.07s now... It's not ideal, but it works for now. Off road, 4low makes up for any lack of power lost by the gears... I just bought 4.56s, super 35 axles, and aussie lockers for front and back (back ordered), so I'll let you know how I make out.
Drive it like you stole it...
