whats up people. Just picked up my second yj about 2 and 1/2
months ago. I totaled my 1994 4cyl. 2.5 which was weak with
the multi port.. but my 1990 with the tbi cant even get out
of it's own way. First off, in the 2 and a half months i've
had it, i've been under it every spare moment and then some.
ground down all rust on frame and chassis and por-15 it.
She,s solid and a pretty******for a 1990 so please dont say
it isnt worth the swap and to buy a different jeep. Im
leaning towards a smallblo
Hey guys! Just got the November '09 issue of Jp Magazine.
There is an article that may interest you both. I haven't
read it yet, but the title is "Big Power Four-Popper" and is
on page 30. It says that you can bolt a Turbocharger on the
2.5 for another 50HP. The basic turbo kit is $2999, but
obviously there are other items to be had too. Looks like a
good read. They put it on a dyno and it actually had about
the same output as a stock six cylinder when they finished!

for 3 grand you can have either a SBC for a better base
platform for growth and improvements, another option if you
want to be a little different is the 3.8 Gen II Super
Charged GM swap. 240HP stock with computer and underdrive
you can have 300-340hp easily. I have seen this same setup
in 4 comp buggies and the guys were burnin up 42-44" tires
