Saturday, March 22nd, we'll be running Bronco Peak and
Sidewinder at Corral Canyon after attending the Town hall
meeting at Cuyamaca College from 9-11AM.
We will make a gas stop in El Cajon near our usual meet-up
spot at Tyler's BBQ parking lot (576 North 2nd, El Cajon
92021) and maybe grab a quick lunch.
This run is rated up to a 3 or 3+ by several Clubs although
we have run Sidewinder with a stock TJ with 31" tires in the
group. Sidewinder is a fun trail requiring 4-Lo
rockcrawling, some possible mud, and steep hill climbs and
descents, not for the faint of heart.
There have been some serious rollovers on Sidewinder in the
past, body damage is always a possibility but with patience
and careful driving the trail can be completed with some
challenges, but no difficulties.
Be sure to have the usual recovery and safety gear,
full-size spare, and bring snacks and water, it will be hot
and dusty. And let's have funIf it doesn't fit, force it; if it breaks, it needed upgrading anyway.

Grewe, looking forward to seeing you out in hot and sunny
SD. Perfect timing for a run out to the desert, should only
be about 115 degrees then :-)

I'm Stimpy, I love to wheel from Glamis to Big Bear. Not the
best wrench but I try hard. Built my YJ from the groud up
and still building.
I got into off-roading as a kid. My Father was a Deputy here
in S.D. He was on the Off Road team and Drove a K-5 instead
of a squad car back when they were green and white."Shes under powered, has little axles, doesn't flex that well, but she'll get there!"
I was just getting back into wheeling and had my jeep stolen
after three months and 2 mods later dammit ,anyway once I
get mine back or the insurance pays me out for it I will be
back Never get out of the boat

A bunch of us are going on an overnight run starting friday.
PM me or StvDiego for more info.
Quote:
I, jbolty, Brandon and 4x4grey88 along with a few
family and friends will be camping Friday night in Blair
Valley with a full complement of wings, burgers and beer
Friday night. Saturday morning it's breakfast over the fire
and then head south to explore the mudcaves, Canyon Sin
Nombre, the old stage routes and maybe do some geocaching.
We'll head back to camp for dinner and then move north to
the trailhead . Everyone is welcome to join us for camping
and if you need camping gear to stay over we will have extra
tents and sleeping bags and all that important stuff - no
excuses!!
Moonrise and sunset is at 6:45 so the planned meeting time
at the trail head will be 6:30 pm which will give us plenty
of time for airing down, chatting up, getting the running
order together
I also just found this section! I'm in Vista/Oceanside and
looking to go on some runs with some locals. Currently I've
only been on a few trails in So-Cal.
I normally go on trips with my family (all of us guys drive
Jeeps) and friends.
PM me if your planning on going on any trips and would like
some new company.
