im tryin to do a t-case swap, but i dont know if its gonna
throw a code or somethin, i have that crappy *** NV249J
full-time, and i wanna swap in a part time NV231 with a SYE,
any one have any ideas?
231 will swap out, no problem other than inside
indicator will be off. you can get one from a cherokee and
take the two and make one, or you can use a piece of white
tape and label it yourself. driveshaft lengths, everything
else works out fine.
after re-reading your post, I see you want to use a slip
yoke eliminator. That will pose a rear driveshaft problem
for you. I've never run a SYE with a Cherokee OR a Grand
Cherokee. The wheelbase is long enough I never saw a need
for one and have never had any driveline problems at all.
I agree. My Cherokee is sitting at 6.5 inches of lift with
the NP231 and no SYE kit at all. I have no issues with the
drive line at all.1996 XJ 6.5" Rusty's, 34" LTB's, 220 amp alt, 4.0, AW4, NP231 NON SYE, CB 1997 ZJ DD 1996 ZJPlum Broke Limited 5.2, Jet performance chip Stage II, Dual exhaust, CAI, Audivox Prestige APS997a alarm, Performance Distributors Ignition Upgrade Click on each for pics Plum Broke Build thread
