i have a 2 wheel drive 97 sport and im thinking about taking
the sawy bars off for more articulation. my questions are.
how dangerous is it on the road with no sways?
and
if im 2x4 does taking the sway bars off help in keeping the
rear wheels on the ground and making it easier to climb more
technical terrain?hold it wide and let it slide!
if you take off the front sway bar it will be very dangerous
on the road. When we did our lift I left off the front sway
and it would roll if you turned hard. Was really wobbly. But
you can lose the rear if you have one.
don't be scared of having no sway bars on the road, i mean
if you hit big enough pot holes you'll get some death wobble
issues but just slow down a bit.
EITHER USE FABRICATE MOUNTS FOR TRUCK SHOCKS (MACK, PETE,
K.W...) 7 STICK EM ON OR DOUBLE UP YUR SHOCKS. WILL RIDE
LIKE A 2X4 ON ROLLER SKATES BUT SHOULD SOLVE THE NO SWAY BAR
ROLL ISSUE. TONY

I have a 4x4 and I have a 4.5" lift and no sway bar. I drive
it everyday everywhere including on the freeway. I just take
turns slower.97' XJ 4.5" RE SuperFlex 32" SuperSwampers
Been driving my XJ with 6.5" lift and 34" LTB's with no sway
bar front or rear for 4 years now. Don't notice any swaying
back and forth on the highway. I've had it up to 85 mph also
without being a bit worried.1996 XJ 6.5" Rusty's, 34" LTB's, 220 amp alt, 4.0, AW4, NP231 NON SYE, CB 1997 ZJ DD 1996 ZJPlum Broke Limited 5.2, Jet performance chip Stage II, Dual exhaust, CAI, Audivox Prestige APS997a alarm, Performance Distributors Ignition Upgrade Click on each for pics Plum Broke Build thread
