SYE and drive shafts

if i get a 4 inch suspension lift will it be nessacery to get a SYE and a new drive shaft too? if so what are the advantages and if i do not whats the disadvantages?

4" is right at the limit for not using a SYE on an LJ. You can install your lift and see if you get vibes. If you do get vibes you can add a TC drop until you get your SYE.

The old saying every rig is different is true. I put a TT on before my lift and it gave me vibes. It only raised my t-case 2.5". I thought the vibes were a tire balance problem. After I installed my RE lift, I had to do the CV shaft. All my vibes disappeared. Point is you really can't know until you do it. We're supposed to have it "better" because of the longer rear DS. But I never would have guessed I could get vibes from a TT alone
